AHBL provided civil, land survey, and landscape design for the new regional military confinement facility at JBLM under a D/B build joint venture between Walsh Federal and DLR Group. Sited on the original building footprint and executed by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the facility includes a main correction facility with 165 beds, a power plant, and integrated perimeter security fence.
The $77.3M design-build project consists of a new 66,000 SF facility. AHBL was responsible for site improvements around the facility, recreational area, fixtures, and equipment, as well as demolition of the existing JRCF, and a reconstructed frontage roadway with new storm drainage and water utilities.
