Panattoni Big Freddy Industrial

AHBL provided civil engineering, structural engineering, landscape architecture, and land surveying services for the Panattoni Big Freddy industrial development—also known as the Tacoma Supply Chain Center—in Frederickson. The project includes three industrial warehouse buildings totaling approximately 711,855 SF, with dock‑high and grade‑level loading and parking for more than 300 trailers. Civil engineering services encompassed onsite and offsite infrastructure design, including roadway and intersection improvements, grading, stormwater management, utilities, and permitting support with Pierce County. Structural engineering included full design of the tilt‑up concrete warehouse buildings, foundations, and hybrid roof systems, along with construction‑phase support, while landscape architecture services provided planting and irrigation design to meet County standards. The site was subdivided through right‑of‑way dedication and short plat mapping, and the completed campus was sold in 2021 for $115M and later recognized by the Pierce County EDB as one of the region’s most economically impactful projects.
