Planning and site design for a modern educational facility

Artondale Elementary School is a new 67,610 SF campus developed for the Peninsula School District on an existing site in Pierce County. AHBL provided civil engineering, landscape architecture, and land use planning services from early planning through construction. The project included full site redevelopment, stormwater management, utility coordination, water system upgrades, and frontage improvements. AHBL led permitting and entitlement efforts, including the Conditional Use Permit process and SEPA environmental review, while coordinating with County staff and stakeholders. Integrated design and planning services supported campus features such as outdoor learning areas, playfields, and sustainable site elements, helping the District maintain an accelerated schedule.
