Sweeping plantings
Stone terrace
Fire pit
Heavy deer pressure challenged us to create a plant palette that was both beautiful and deer proof. The bold, sweeping plantings add color and movement to this garden. A bold half circle stone terrace anchors the corner of the garden. Opposite holly hedge echoes the terrace’s shape. A sweep of nepeta punctuated with allium in spring further accentuate the curve. A sunken fire pit on the gravel terrace is perfect for evening entertaining. The owner’s beautiful Impruneta terra cotta pot collection is accentuated with dramatic plantings. A secret woodland garden provides dappled shade in the summer.
