Engineering a next‑generation high school campus for 1,200 students

Tyee High School was transformed into a modern, three-story campus expanding from 129,000 SF to 210,000 SF to serve 1,200 students. AHBL provided civil and structural engineering, land use planning, and land surveying services to support this major upgrade. Our team improved accessibility with new sidewalks, curbs, signalization, and ADA-compliant intersections, while planning athletic fields and coordinating phased utility relocations. We also developed grading, paving, and utility plans for water, fire protection, and sewer connections, and guided the SEPA environmental review process for smooth approvals. The result is a vibrant, future-ready campus designed to meet the needs of students and the community.
