The Hive at Libby Center expands creative learning opportunities
AHBL’s civil engineering and landscape architecture teams helped shape a pedestrian‑friendly, traffic‑calmed site that seamlessly integrates the new addition with the existing Libby Center. “The Hive” provides four makerspace studios, three training rooms, and dedicated areas for virtual learning and teacher training—including a podcast studio, conference space, and offices.
Developed through collaboration between Spokane Public Library and Spokane Public Schools and funded by SPS’s 2018 bond, The Hive creates a flexible, innovative environment that supports creativity, professional development, and community connection.
