Integrating campus features with second-growth forests

AHBL provided civil engineering services for the Pierce College Puyallup Johnson Science building, a three-story, 54,400 SF facility featuring teaching labs, classrooms, and a fabrication lab for STEM programs. The design included a 100-stall parking addition, stormwater systems, ADA-compliant walkways, and educational raingardens that promote sustainability. By integrating campus features, protecting nearby second-growth forests, and targeting LEED Gold Certification, the project aligns with the college’s commitment to sustainable education and growth.
