Giving back at the NAIOP Community Enhancement Event
AHBL designed & built improvements to Camp Waskowitz
Every year, the NAIOP Community Enhancement Committee (CEC) selects a worthy space in our community that could benefit from the donation of design and construction services. This year, Highline Public Schools' Camp Waskowitz was selected with their long list of needs, that easily would have taken them 5 years to complete themselves.
AHBL employees and other volunteers worked on 20 different projects, including invasive species removal and replanting with native species; a deck demolition and replacement; and re-staining of cabins. AHBL Structural Engineer, Andrea Sauter donated the design of a new deck on the Council Hall. We had a great day giving back and seeing what the efforts of 325 volunteers from the design and construction industry can make happen in just 10 hours!
