AHBL Volunteers for Earth Day

Clean-up sites included Point Defiance Park, Puget Creek Gulch, Duwamish Shoreline, and Lincoln Street

In honor of Earth Day, AHBL's statewide staff volunteered at four local sites. The event kicked off AHBL's Earth Week Celebration, which aims to raise awareness of sustainability issues, increase recycling, and reduce waste throughout our company.

AHBL's Tacoma staff participated in Pierce County's Parks Appreciation Day at the Point Defiance Park and Puget Creek Gulch locations. Eleven volunteers from our office helped with everything from spreading tree mulch to removing invasive species. AHBL's Seattle staff volunteered at the Green River Trail to help restore the Duwamish Shoreline. AHBL's Spokane staff cleaned debris out of swales along South Lincoln Street, a project AHBL also designed in 2010.
