City of Shoreline's Environmental Sustainability Strategy Featured by AWC
AHBL is the prime consultant
The Association of Washington Cities (AWC) is currently featuring the City of Shoreline's Environmental Sustainability Strategy as a case study for a City-wide Sustainability Strategy. AHBL is leading Shoreline's effort to develop the City-wide Strategy as a framework for energy efficiency and waste reduction in City operations, public education, a green infrastructure system, and healthy, functioning ecosystems. The Strategy includes a "healthy systems" approach to improving parks and recreation facilities, drainage basin ecology, and non-motorized connections through an integrated system of green streets, which include surface water, natural landscaping and pedestrian improvements.
