AIA Southwest Washington Recognizes 2017 Honor Award Recipients

The AIA Southwest Washington held its annual Honor Awards banquet on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at the Tacoma Art Museum. Each year the organization recognizes excellence in architectural design with this celebration. This year our colleagues at McGranahan Architects and TCF Architecture earned awards.

McGranahan Architects earned the Honor Award for the Advanced Technology Center at Bates Technical College. AHBL provided civil engineering, structural engineering, and land survey for this 51,629 sf facility that serves nearly 15,000 students a year.

TCF Architecture earned the Citation Award for the Seattle World School Modernization and Addition. AHBL provided civil engineering, land use planning, landscape architecture, and land survey for this $10.5 M project that expanded the original T.T. Minor School, originally built in 1940, to accommodate 360 students for the Seattle World School Program.

We are honored to have been a part of both of these projects, and congratulate our architectural partners on a job well-done.
