Lisa Klein, AICP, AHBL Associate Principal and Land Use Planner, is retiring after 34 years in the industry and 23 years with AHBL. Her retirement is effective as of October 1, 2024. AHBL and Lisa will continue wrapping up her existing planning projects through the end of the year.

Lisa’s career has included many complex planning projects, including comprehensive feasibility analyses, master planning, site planning, obtaining entitlements, developing public policy, public participation, and creating community plans. With her expertise in the SEPA environmental review processes, Lisa worked with over 20 school districts in completing all their lead agency responsibilities, leading the land use approval process.

Wayne Carlson, FAICP, the AHBL Planning team, and our teaming partners will work closely to ensure a seamless transition as they continue to provide quality planning services for AHBL clients while developing innovative solutions to project challenges.
