2021 has been a year full of reconnecting and coming together. Food Lifeline’s annual Food Frenzy fundraiser has been a unifying event among our four offices for over a decade; this year was no exception. In the spirit of the Tokyo Olympics and coming together, AHBL’s four offices represented AEC-themed countries to compete in AHBL’s Office Olympics from July 16-30.
The teams included:
Seattle, Republic State of Variances
Tacoma, Federation of Feasibility
Pasco, Nation-State of Specifications
Spokane, Republic of Reconstruction
Now in our 12th year of participating in Food Lifeline’s annual Food Frenzy fundraiser, we rallied behind our respective “countries” to fundraise and participate in Office Olympics-themed games during our Food Frenzy closing ceremonies.
After two weeks of hard-fought competition, the Republic State of Variances (Seattle office) claimed the gold medal after raising $1,665 ($75.68/person). The Federation of Feasibility (Tacoma office) received silver after raising $3,840 ($44.65/person), and bronze went to the Pasco office for raising $11.36/person. The Republic of Reconstruction (Spokane office) received the participation award.
In total, AHBL employees raised more than $6,300 for Food Lifeline and 2nd Harvest, an Eastern Washington non-profit. Thank you to all those who helped us make a difference in our communities.
Food Frenzy 2021 overall totals:
$424,078 dollars raised – equivalent of 2,120,390 meals!
